Here is a small list of the most important things you have to keep in mind before starting to plan
your wedding.
1. Select an estimated date for the wedding. Several factors such as a special day for you two, the season of the year, the day of the week (especially if having a Catholic wedding), or the place at which you want to get married can influence a lot in your choice.
2. Designate a budget. A recommendation we like to give is to enlist what is more important to you such as the food, the music, the dècor, or even the alcohol. This will help you know about how much you can spend on each item. The cost of the venue and the catering are what take the most of the budget.
3. Look for a wedding planner! Ask your relatives and friends for recommendations. Trust us, the wedding planner will take care of all the details of your big day.
4. Describe your ideal venue in a piece of paper and start editing every time you have a new idea, you might find exactly what you are looking for. Who knows?!
5. Look for vendor referrals which include officiant for the ceremony, caterer, musicians, florist, power generator and transportation vendors, hotel options for your guests, among others. The wedding planner might help you get better prices.
